Pavilion Opera Performances in School 2007 'Carmen'

For Action - Response required by 19 December 2006

The Pavilion Opera Education Trust (Poet) is an experienced, charitable organisation which aims to perform opera to school children within their own schools. They have worked with Barnet schools for the last three years and have now raised funding for another three years, until 2009, as Barnet has been such a successful project for them. There is therefore no charge to schools.

The operas are sung in the original language, with full costume and piano accompaniment and are suitable for children from years 5 or 6.

A teachers' meeting and POET presentation will take place on Thursday 8 February 4.30-6.00pm at NLBP.

Detailed information and an application form are in the enclosures section. Please return the form to Debbie Goldman by Tuesday 19 December. Debbie can be contacted on 020 8359 6329, debbie.goldman@barnet.gov.uk or fax 0870 889 7446
