| Restorative Justice Seminar | ![]() |

|
For Action - Response required by 18 May 2007 The Restorative Justice (RJ) Seminar is being held on 30 May at North London Business Park, from 9.30am to 1.00pm. This seminar is free and is open to all statutory and voluntary agencies in the borough who would like to find out more about RJ and how it can work for them. The Seminar will also provide the opportunity for agencies to register an interest in receiving further training on RJ and its delivery. Barnet Police carry out RJ conferencing on a regular basis and it has proved to be a very effective tool for resolving conflict situations between two or more parties. Barnet Police and Barnet's Safer Communities Team would like to extend the opportunity of being able to deliver RJ conferencing to other statutory and voluntary agencies. The above seminar and additional training have been arranged in order to facilitate this. Following the seminar, free training will be made available to all agencies who are interested in delivering RJ within and on behalf of their organisations. Managers attending the seminar will be able to nominate representatives to attend future training. Information on RJ and the agenda for the day can be found in the enclosures section of this week's School Circular. If you would like to attend the seminar you will need to complete and return the attached booking form by 18 May. If you would like to discuss this in more detail please contact Trudi Sills on 020 8733 4597. Trudi Sills |
